Before me was the blacksmiths, to me it seemed the exact same blacksmiths I had seen in the town before. It was of average size, though had a massive opening in it's side. I could see a blacksmith teaching. He resembled Jesus though he wasn't Jesus but was doing the things Jesus would do as the Great Teacher and I could see he was a Great Teacher. A small crowd was gathered around him, most of these were children though there were a few adults, the children gathered closely listening attentively to what they were being shown. The adults trying to look well probably more adultish, a little embarrassed to be taught with children but wanting to be taught as much as the children though trying to appear less eager than their younger counterparts. There certainly was no ageism here!
It made me chuckle inside watching this, I could see the adults slight unease as the kids oblivious to anything other than complete focus on the blacksmith were obviously very excited. The two groups looked quite different, in fact they were exact opposites and the eagerness and unease of both groups was accentuated by the other
I then could see my friend walking of, I turned to follow him. He strode purposefully up the street and then crossed to the other side of the road. I could see the layout was just the same as it was in the town but with a few differences, the most notable one being that the statues were missing.
We arrived at a dark looking building with big heavy imposing doors that gave you the impression you should enter at your own risk. A sign hung over the door and swung in the wind. I swung open the doors and to my delight, this building was an exact replica of the tavern from the town, I say exact there was one big difference. Everything in this pub was made of pure Gold. So pure it shone with such a pure, pure light.
I could see figures at the center talking and chatting. Some were standing, some were sitting. They were dressed as knights. They had dark thick chain mail on. They wore Gold armour and on each head was a simple little crown. One strode towards me and passing me by. He walked with resolution as if he had a task that couldn't be delayed and stepped out onto the street with purpose. Without stopping he made his way to the blacksmiths.
As he was striding away I could see that he was wearing a large gray coat that covered his armour and in doing so made him look like an ordinary person and not a important ordinary person at that, even a hood delicately but totally covered his head to conceal his crown so you could have no idea who he actually was.
I followed him quickly, not breaking stride until I came to the blacksmiths and I could see that he was stood at the back a little distance between the few adults at the back of the group watching the blacksmith. I could see almost the same scene I had seen before in the town. It hadn't changed and time is seemed was almost frozen, the children were watching and asking questions of the blacksmith, as I moved towards the doorway I could see a plague to the left that caught my attention just as I walked past it. I stepped back and bent my head around the doorway to get a better look. It was a small plague. Wrought in what looked like iron, it was small almost undetectable, certainly not noticeable and made in a way that almost camouflaged it into the brick behind so that you had to have a good look to even notice it, it had very small words engraved in italics. It simply said
The Union of the Prophets and Teachers to release the Apostles.
wow I thought. Simple yet profound.
I moved my head and upper body back inside the blacksmiths. Silence..... everyone turned to look at me except the man at the back who was so inconspicuous that no-one even noticed him. I could see the teacher had finished and after the pause caused by my entrance he started packing away his tools, and the children started to leave. As they were leaving one turned to the blacksmith and pointing at the man at the back said "who... is that" abruptly. The others all turned and stopped
He is a prophet the blacksmith said....
A prophet said the child rather scornfully.
Yes the blacksmith said.
The child clearly understood what he had just been told but clearly didn't understand, another said
What is he doing here...
At this point the man at the back stood motionless, hands on hips.
Yesss... said the blacksmith rather impatiently until the children seemed to begin to believe him. Do you think you are just here to learn how to teach
One of the important things you are to learn is that the the union of the prophets and teachers will release the last day apostolic ministry upon the church.
The children all seem puzzled by this
There is a plague outside, see said the blacksmith
As one all the children excitedly ran out and over to the plaque all reading it carefully and then squeeling in giddy excitement, then running back in.
The prophet then drew both arms from behind his heavy dark cloak and exposed some of what was underneath this heavy cloak.
an astonished "wooooowww" grew up from the children. Then one said "woooooeeeew".
The blacksmith continued "Do you not know that it is the last day ministry of the Apostle and Prophets which build the church that is to come....
One child continued Yes but....
The blacksmith then injecting quickly "there is no but about it....' pausing "Have you not read this?".
Another retorted Yes b....
Again the blacksmith retorted "is it not written,,,, and is it not truth."
Puzzled looks seemed to fall away.
Then the blacksmith saying nothing made an expression that said isn't it obvious. Then saying
it's important you understand this and not just read it.
The prophet then spoke.... "For indeed you are part of the kingdom but you also part of the end time ministry that is to come. You are the ones that will lead the church in that hour. We herald your coming for you are the apostles in that day.
Looks of pure bewilderment, excitement and astonished covered all there faces. They paused waiting and understanding that the teaching was finally over they ran off and I watched them, off in the distance running as quick as there little legs could carry them. I looked back at the prophet and teacher.... they smiled at each other.
