The Battlefield - The Final Room

I was stood in the most wonderful room I had ever stood in.  It was massive.  Purely massive, so massive that it was a wonder it could fit in the tower... was it actually in the tower,, it must be it can't possibly not be but it can't possibly 'be' be?  Oh well who cares I thought as I stared at just the awesomeness of just being in this place.   I could be content now with just having been here but I knew from what I had been told that there was so much more that I daren't even let my mind wonder to those thoughts again.

I had been taught about my fear and how to overcome it particularly that one nasty fear, the fear of man that is central to all human trouble.   I'd prepared for this moment and now I was in it, in  this room it was so mind blowing that every thought, deed,  memory was just blown away by it, I even forgot I even had my human fears.

The room was square or rectangle I couldn't be sure,  it looked both, not that it could be but it was because when I looked ahead there was miles in front of me and the same to the side,  ultimately I couldn't really tell.

I was in a large auditorium,  much like a sports stadium, but it was larger than any stadium I had been in or known. It was inside, I say inside because it felt inside but was so huge that you could not see the ceiling,  the ceiling did not look like a ceiling looked.  It was maybe translucent, opaque, strangely mirrored or not even there and just seemed to be open sky.  The only way to describe the ceiling was that beyond the ceiling was not just all of of creation but the beginning of all creation and the ceiling was strangely connected to the room but also strangely disconnected.

Hard to describe the whole place looked and felt ancient like a mighty colosseum,  not for a major city but for the whole of creation.  At the beginning of creation the very first thing was thought out and created here and so it would be that the very last breath of creation would happen here also.  It had this odd sense of ancientness, holiness and powerfulness all rapped into one.  It seemed this was the place to be, this  is where it all happened that everything that was, has been or was to be that was thought, planned and delivered was done in this room.  It made the memory of the rest of the tower feel dull and ordinary.

In front of me I could see an ornate thrown room.   The floor was a red carpet with another red carpet on top with a tiny tussle of gold hemmed in on the edge much like the waiting room. The one on top lead straight down the centre of the room from past the waiting room entrance door right up to the throne room which seemed miles away.  I could make out 7 steps up that appeared to curve round in a massive curve much like the outside of the tower.  Two mighty thrones one slightly bigger than the other marked the end of the second carpet with smaller but equally glamorous thrones situated around it.  To the left and right there was seats that went up and up like a mighty arena until they just disappeared into the sky.

I could make a figure moving, appearing to leave their throne and coming down the stairs.  I walked until we met in the middle.  This took potentially an entire age, yet minutes.  I looked to my left.  Their were some people attending to in one of the lower seating areas.  I say lower but only for this place as it was very high up. A few were actually sat down doing various things.  Some sitting,  appearing to be waiting.  Some huddled talking.  I could see thousands upon thousands though it took me a while to make this out as it was difficult to see anyone in the millions upon millions of seats.   As I stared at certain areas people seemed to become visible and then as my eyes moved they disappeared.

I could see from some of the seats were ancient antiques and made of the same type of wood as in the waiting room.  Each seat seemed uniquely different from the others, again I was puzzled as to how this could be and how each could be different yet this room seemed to be in perfect unity.   I could see a large collection of people huddled round a few chairs near the very bottom.   Mostly stood up I could see they were debating ferociously yet friendly.

As I almost reached the figure walking towards me I could see that it was Jesus.  He walked towards me stopping he held his arms wide and embraced me.

You are here  he said,

Here with me

For I desire that you are seated here with me in heavenly places.   We began to walk back to the thrones,  Jesus spoke I started to  try to listen to Him but it was difficult as my mind raced switching between what was being said and what I was seeing.   A figure caught my eye.  Someone I knew,  Jesus words began to drift as I looked at the lonely figure hunched on a seat starring at me.  before I knew it we had reached the end of the room.

Before me, behind the thrones, reminded me of a grand church entrance  millions of pieces of stained glass that together met in various ways to make up several huge circles that just seemed to hang on a wall of nothingness.  This is your seat, he stretched out his hand gesturing at a seat a couple shy of where he is sat..  Sit he said, I must show you many things but for now...rest.
